First off—THANK YOU! 
A huge shoutout to all of our amazing volunteers from the Woodlake meet this past week. These meets truly cannot happen without you, and we are so grateful for everyone who signed up, stepped in, checked in with me at the meet, or offered to be a backup.

It’s awesome to see everyone pitching in and working together—it’s what makes our Marlins community so special! 

What’s Happening This Week

Home Meet vs. Powhatan YMCA

• Warm-ups: 4:45 PM
• Meet starts: 6:00 PM

Please remember to: 

- Register your swimmers by Monday
- Sign up for a volunteer spot

Plan to arrive early so swimmers are settled, stretched, and ready to go before events start!

Quick Note:
This is a slightly different home meet. While we are hosting, this is technically Powhatan’s home meet (their pool is too small to host). We’re still finalizing volunteer roles with their team, so you may see some adjustments as we get final details. Thanks in advance for your flexibility!

Meet Theme: Peace, Love & Swimming!

We want the pool deck bursting with:

• Tie-dye 
• Bell bottoms 
• Funky patterns 
• Headbands & sunglasses 

Let’s make it colorful, fun, and full of Marlins spirit!

*Don't forget - FUN Practice will be Wednesday AM, 9:30 - 10:30!

Spirit Day – Monday: Tie Dye Fun!

It’s time for our second Spirit Day—and it’s a fan favorite!

To match our meet theme, we’re bringing all the tie-dye magic to the pool. After practice at both morning and afternoon practices, swimmers can create their own groovy designs!

What to Bring:

• A t-shirt or clothing item to dye
  (White or light colors work best!)

We’ll have a few extras just in case—but bringing your own is best.

Parents of 8 & Under:
Please plan to stick around and help—tie dye + excited kids = extra hands needed! 

We can’t wait to see everyone’s colorful creations!

Save the date - Marlins Take on Water Country! 

We’re excited to announce a team social outing this season!

Friday, June 26
- Water Country USA (Williamsburg)
- Plan to arrive when the park opens at 10:30 AM

Morning practice will be canceled so everyone who can join can get there when they open.

I’ll send a separate email soon with details and logistics—but mark your calendars now… this is going to be a blast!
